A Hollywood writers’ room for companies

Hollywood meets
Product Development.

Your product as a Hollywood hero saga.

A workshop that turns your team into a Hollywood writers’ room – screenwriters, product developers and actors all at once. Strategic depth, playfully embodied.

The Room — where ideas meet and magic happens.

The challenge

Just another meeting?

Innovation workshops often feel like just another meeting. Customer journeys and MVPs get worked through rather than experienced.

The result: smart concepts on paper – but no emotional connection to the product and no drive in execution.

Who it’s for

For teams at a turning point.

Innovation and product teams

In tech companies and scale-ups: before a launch, relaunch or pivot – or when you sense you are stuck. You play through your product’s journey before the market does.

Remote and hybrid teams

If you usually only see each other on video calls, your rare offsite deserves more than another meeting. Writing, acting and laughing together creates a bond that lasts for months.

Teams in transition

A merger, a reorganisation or new leadership: when cultures come together, a shared story is often missing. In the writers’ room you write it together – and address difficult topics through the character rather than through blame.

For agencies and consultancies: the writers’ room as a module for your clients. Get in touch.

Our approach

Turning tasks into stories.

The Hero’s Journey

Your product gets a goal, a journey, a customer it serves – and an antagonist it must defeat.

Rehearsal

Reading the story through together shows right away where the product still lacks sharpness or the hero’s journey doesn’t hold. And along the way, it becomes your own Hollywood hero story.

The Team Effect

An experience in which colleagues discover new sides of each other – with pride and lightness.

The outcome

What you hold in your hands after the workshop:

  • a sharpened product or innovation idea
  • a shared core message
  • a clear picture of your target group and its problem
  • a fully developed storyline
  • a first pitch
  • concrete next steps

Why it works

Team building that moves things forward.

No canoe trip, no entertainment for its own sake. The writers’ room takes your team out of its usual rhythm – playful, fun and focused on a real task.

“If our product were a Hollywood film – what would happen?”
This one question opens doors and creates clarity – especially at a relaunch, or when you sense you are stuck somewhere.

Every voice counts

Everyone brings in their wishes, doubts and antagonists. From that, the team builds a shared story – and finds common ground.

Out of old roles

For teams who barely know each other, and for teams who know each other too well, where everyone always plays the same part. In the writers’ room you discover each other anew.

Get to know your product again

Not just knowing what you build – but understanding the journey your product takes and what it is fighting for.

Lasts beyond the day

The story stays: as a reference for decisions, communication and the next pitch. An approach you can keep working with.

The method

How the writers’ room was born.

When I returned to writing an international premium series after years in consulting, it became clear to me: every good story follows a dramaturgy. Heroes pursue a mission, overcome obstacles, encounter antagonists and at some point reach the moment when all seems lost. Only there does it become clear what they must change in order to win.

What applies to the heroes of a series also applies to products. Take a vacuum cleaner. Its mission: to free people from a tedious task so they have more time for what really matters to them. But it has to hold its own against scepticism, familiar alternatives, a supposedly too-high price and strong competitors. What makes it the hero – and why should customers choose it of all things?

In the writers’ room, your team plays through this hero’s journey before the market does. Together, it develops best- and worst-case scenarios, identifies the decisive obstacles and challenges existing assumptions.

The concrete outcome: sharpened product positioning, clear differentiation from the competition, identified risks and concrete recommendations for the next development steps. Your team leaves the workshop not only with a new perspective on the product, but with a shared strategic direction and clear priorities.

This turns a product with features into a product with a mission – and storytelling into a tool for strategic innovation.

  1. The goalWhat does your product want to change in the world?
  2. The obstaclesWhat stands in its way – doubt, price, habit?
  3. The antagonistWho or what is fighting against its success?
  4. The darkest momentThe moment when all seems lost.
  5. The transformationThe new strategy that lets the hero win.

About me

Gabriela Mann

Between the writers’ room and the boardroom.

I come from two worlds that rarely sit in the same room.

Hollywood and Berlin: acting in series, films and partly award-winning short films, directing reality formats, screenwriting at the University of California, a master’s in vocal studies in London. I am currently developing an international premium series.

Business: management consulting, transformation projects and agile methods in the automotive industry – and for seven years, coaching and learning journeys for leaders.

The Room brings both together: the dramaturgy Hollywood uses to build stories, and the precision companies use to make decisions.

  • Master’s in Vocal Studies · London

Experience

Worked with leaders from companies such as Porsche, Audi, Palantir, Spar and Sonophilia.

Great ideas are born alone, but they come alive in the room.

Not another meeting – an experience that stays.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Does our team need to be especially creative or have writing experience?

Not at all. We work like a real Hollywood writers’ room: the team develops the script together and then brings it to life playfully – just like a script rehearsal on set. No prior experience is needed; the method guides you step by step.

Does our product have to be a physical product?

Not at all. Every team has a product: an app, an AI agent, a customer service, a transformation programme or an internal tool. Anything meant to make a difference for someone can become the hero.

What does it actually deliver for the business?

We use Hollywood’s creative process to sharpen your product and its positioning in the market. You leave with concrete results – from a sharpened product idea, a shared core message and storyline to a first pitch and clear next steps. And with a team that sees its product from a new perspective.

Is the workshop tailored to our product?

Yes. In a preliminary call we clarify your product, your goal and the situation in your team. I build the day around that.

How do you handle confidential product information?

Whatever is created in the room stays in the room. On request, I sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) in advance.

What is included in the price?

The preliminary call, preparation and the workshop itself. Travel expenses are added. Extensive research, interviews or a fully developed pitch deck can be quoted separately on request.

What language is the workshop held in?

German or English – whichever suits your team.

Where does it take place – is it available online?

The writers’ room thrives on working together in one room, so it takes place on-site: at your premises or in a rented venue, anywhere in Europe and worldwide on request. The teaser keynote is also available online.

How large can the team be?

4 to 20 people. From 13 participants I work with a co-facilitator.

Can our script be turned into a film?

Yes, on request. Your script can be produced with AI support as a short film, commercial or product teaser.
